


Avast has publicly confirmed the security problem in a blog post and issued new, clean versions of CCleaner. Prague-based anti-virus firm Avast, which distributes the CCleaners utility, says it first learned of the problem from cybersecurity firm Morphisec on Sept.

The alert over the software flaw was publicly sounded Monday by security researchers at Cisco Talos.
